OUR ANNUAL PARISH RAFFLE will be a virtual one this year. Tickets will be available for pickup as you leave Mass this weekend. Each family is asked to take a packet containing 10 books of tickets ($50.00). If you have a neighbor or relative who has not come back to church yet would you please pick up a pack for them too! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Please help us to raise money for the many repairs that are necessary on our Parish grounds. The drawing of the winners of $1,000, $500 and $300 will take place virtually on August 11 here at the Church.
This weekend we celebrate Father’s Day & so I certainly want to take the opportunity to wish all of our fathers a Happy & Blessed Father’s Day! Thank you too for the continued prayers for my father, at this point he continues to do well & so we are grateful for that. Here in Church, we enter once again into the liturgical season of Ordinary Time in a time that has been pretty much anything but ordinary. These past months have certainly changed us, our Church, & our world in so many ways. Right now we are living through a time that is in pretty much no way an ordinary time.
Over the last few months, we've heard words such as "cancelled" or "postponed" or "rescheduled" many, many times due to the coronavirus pandemic. We too have had to cancel or postpone a number of different events. Our year-long parish mission, for example, is on hold & I am in touch with our planned speakers to figure out when we want to try giving that a go again.
